Why People Fail In MLM


There's absolutely no doubt that a lot of people fail at network marketing each year. In fact, the failure rate for ANYONE starting a home business, MLM or otherwise, is extremely high...

...But there are some very good reasons why people fail in MLM and you can increase your chance of success tremendously by avoiding the factors below.

Here are the reasons why people fail at MLM:

1. Lack Of Training And Mentoring

This is probably the biggest reason why people fail in MLM and home business in general... they lack the training necessary to build a successful business.

It's unrealistic to think that you can simply open a business and the money starts pouring into your bank account. It just doesn't work that way.

Your best chance for success, especially if you lack experience, is to find a sponsor or mentor that will help you learn the things you need to know in order to build a thriving network marketing business. The best way to find a sponsor that will ACTUALLY train you for success is to research them, Google them, and call them.

You must also take responsibility for your own training...

There are tons and tons of websites available today that will give you a wide range of network marketing training absolutely free. Here are a few of my favorites:

2. Expecting Instant Success

It takes time to build a thriving network marketing business... especially if your company doesn't pay weekly like mine does. It's completely unrealistic to expect thousands of dollars to start rolling into your account the first week (Unless you're a network marketing whiz kid), but that's what a lot of people expect when they get started.

A lot of inexperienced network marketers get caught up in all the hype and expect their lives to instantly change when they join an opportunity. When it doesn't work out that way, they claim failure and walk away from their new businesses.

The reality is that it can take a few weeks to get the ball rolling on ANY new business and you have to give it time to work.

3. Not Treating It Like A Business

One of the biggest reasons why people fail in MLM is that they fail to treat their new venture like a business.

Make no mistake, network marketing is a business and you have to treat it like one in order to succeed.

I see people all the time who fail to put any time or effort into their business, hide the fact that they've gone into business from friends and family, and make no effort to educate themselves in how to succeed in their business... then scratch their head when their business falls flat.

You've got to treat your business like a business... period.

Although there are probably a lot of other reasons, in my opinion, these are the top three reasons why people fail at MLM.
