How To Get Started In Network Marketing


Once you've seen the potential in a network marketing business, it's really hard to resist getting started in network marketing yourself.

But this is also a critical time where you need to take things a slowly and do your homework.

Getting started in network marketing is easy... getting started on the right foot and being successful is another story.

So here's my step by step plan for getting started in network marketing:

  1. Find a company that you like and research the company, the products, and the compensation plan.

  2. Find a sponsor within the company that you're interested in and research them too. Choosing the right sponsor can make a big difference in how successful you become in your business.

  3. Make sure that the market isn't saturated with distributors or products from the opportunity that you're interested in. If it is saturated, that will make it difficult for you to sell your products or opportunity.

  4. Call your potential sponsor and talk to them. It's okay to "interview" someone that you'll be working with to build your business. You may talk to a couple of sponsors before you find the right fit... that's okay.

  5. Sign up to be a representative for the company under the sponsor that you've chosen. When you sign up, you'll usually need to buy some kind of marketing package and start a monthly autoship (automatic monthly shipment of products).

  6. Once you're application is complete and you're in business, immediately start going through all your back office marketing materials and product information. You need to get familiar with your new business.

  7. If your sponsor doesn't call you within a day or two, call them and talk to them about your business. They should be able to guide you in getting started.

  8. Decide on your goals for your business and write them down. Make your goals realistic, attainable, and specific.

  9. Create your plan of attack for selling products and introducing people to your business.

  10. Last, but not least, GET STARTED!

Getting started in network marketing really isn't a difficult process, but it's not something that you should jump into either. There are a lot of untrustworthy people in this industry who try to wring as much money as possible out of their recruits rather than sponsoring them, and there are a lot of network marketing companies that have completely saturated the market. You don't want to fall victim to either one of these situations.
