My Best Money Making Strategy

Now that you know the basic ways that online businesses can earn revenue online, how do you choose which one to use for your business?

Don't choose just one.

My best online money making strategy is to use a combination of all of them.

In other words, I sell my own products and services, promote affiliate products, carry advertising on my websites, and use my websites extensively for lead generation.

In an information or content based website, it's really easy to combine all these money making methods on a single website. Other business models may not always be able to use every one of these profit centers, but they should be able to use most of them.

The strategy of combining different money making techniques works well because you're not completely dependent on one method for the livelihood of your business.

For example, if your advertising suddenly tanks and your revenue drops 50%, you still have other means of generating revenue with your online business. You business remains stable, profitable, and can continue to grow.

I kind of think of it as a table with each one of the money making opportunities we've discussed being one of the legs. You can cut off one of the legs, turn it into a three-legged table and it will still be stable. On the other hand, if you build your business around just one way to make money, you are extremely vulnerable.

You're vulnerable to economic changes, changes in technology, changes in other's business policies, trend changes, etc. If you've built your online business with lots of different sources of revenue, you'll easily be able to weather any kinds of changes that affect your business and still thrive.
